Vietnam
Traffic in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City is chaotic at times, with participants sometimes making unexpected and in the eyes of a western visitor irrational decisions. It is however seldom aggressive or violent.
When you take part in the traffic melee just make clear what your intentions are. When you cross a street, don't hesitate, walk slowly and keep on walking so the other participants know where you are going. Don't stand still or step back. Then you may get hurt by someone who thought to drive behind you.

Tens of thousands of people, among them many soldiers and veterans of the Vietnamese army, queue in Hanoi to pay their respect to General Giap who died on October 4, 2013 at the age of 103. For many it has taken up to a whole day of queueing before the coffin was reached at Giap's house at Hoang Dieu Street. General Giap is most famous for the victory at the battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, which ended French colonial rule in Vietnam.
Cuba
